HMS Library Policies and Procedures

Hanceville Middle School Policies
1.  Books will be checked out for 10 school days.
2.  You may check out 1 book at a time, with exceptions left up to the media specialist.  (i.e. Student may check out a book to read for pleasure and a book required by teacher.)
3.  Reference materials and periodicals may not be removed from the library.
6.  Charges will be made on all lost or damaged books.
5. If an assessed fine is unpaid, no books may be checked out until payment is made.

Hanceville Middle School Procedures
1.  Come in to the library with an intended educational purpose
2.  Sign in at the door with your name, teacher, reason, and time.
3.  You are expected to use the library for its appropriate purpose or you will be asked to leave.

Hanceville Middle School Rules
1.  No food or drinks near computers.
2.  No internet use without a signed Acceptable Use Policy.
3.  Use of chat or games (unless academic based) is not permitted.
4.  Music cannot be downloaded.
