If your child has medication in the school nurse office, you are advised to pick up this medication by May 21. Any unclaimed medication will be disposed of properly by the school according to state/local guidelines.
Attention parents and all student-athletes: If your child plans to participate in any middle or high school sport for the 2025-2026 school year, they will need a physical. We are hosting physicals on Wednesday, May 14th, in the HHS Gym for $15 at 3pm. This is an excellent opportunity for your athlete to get their physical without making an appointment with their doctor. Money raised from physicals goes into the athletic training fund (used for training supplies, tape, bandages, etc). See the flyer below for additional information.

We are excited to announce that our 7th grade students will be participating in Liberty Learning Foundation's Good Character Expo on Friday, May 9th. Students will be showcasing their civics projects at Good Hope Middle School at 9 am. Parents and guests are invited to attend the showcase!

Hanceville Middle School is the 2025 Cullman County Drone Wars Champions! We’re incredibly proud of all our students who competed in today’s Drone Wars Competition—you represented Cullman County with excellence, teamwork, and skill! A big thank you to Wallace State and their amazing staff for hosting such an exciting event!

We are proud to participate in our first ever Hanceville Schools Community Day! Join us in the Lane Horton Gym tomorrow from 9-12 as we shocwcase all we have to offer at each of our schools. Food trucks will also be on site.

HMS Girls Basketball Tryouts May 6-8!
Fro'z Shaved Ice & Fro'znades will be on campus TOMORROW. All items are $5 and support our HMS Robotics Team.
We will be participating in the state-required ACAP Test for the remainder of the week. Testing days will be Tuesday through Friday. It is very important that every student arrives on time, is well-rested, and avoids checking out. Students should eat a healthy breakfast to help them stay focused. Breakfast will be available in the lunchroom starting at 7:30 each day. Students should arrive by 7:45 and we will begin testing promptly at 8am each day. If you must check a student out, we will be unable to call into rooms until approximately 10:30 each day so please plan accordingly.
